App Update — Version 1.3.7 "Single-Photo Calibration & Water Damage Update"

🚀 Overview:

This release brings a major overhaul to Single Photo Grading, aligning it much more closely with Advanced Grading. Updates include improved defect handling, tighter high-grade rules, new water-damage detection, and clearer guidelines to reduce false positives—especially for newer books and intentional design elements.

🆕 Features Released:

📸 Single-Photo Calibration Improvements

• Introduced cumulative defect penalties for more realistic grade deductions
• Added strict high-grade thresholds to prevent overgrading near-mint books
• Implemented a refined grade calibration scale with explicit defect allowances
• Enforced a more conservative grading posture: "always round down"
• Added clearer defect vs. non-defect guidelines to avoid false positives

💧 Water Damage Detection

• Added Water Damage as an official defect category
• Defined water damage clearly (staining, waviness, discoloration, moisture)
• Integrated into lower grade ranges with appropriate penalties
• Improved detection instructions so the AI identifies it consistently

📊 Impact

• More consistent grading across both grading modes
• Reduced overgrading of high-condition books
• More accurate handling of multiple minor defects
• Fewer false positives (artwork, printing quirks, signatures no longer flagged)
• Single-photo grading now better aligned with Advanced Grading expectations
