This update focuses on improving grading accuracy and consistency across the board. We tightened our grade scale calibration, especially in the high-grade and mid-grade ranges, to make results more aligned with real-world grading expectations.
We also improved the way user-provided context (ex: print run notes, storage history, defects the user calls out) is used during grading. The model now places more weight on context when it helps resolve edge cases or visually ambiguous defects.
🆕 Features Released:
📏 Refined Grade Scale Calibration
Rebalanced the high-grade tiers to reduce overly harsh downgrades on minor surface or spine defects. Improved consistency for books in the 7.0–9.4 range, especially moderns.
📝 Enhanced User Context Handling
Context notes are now fed more intelligently into the grading model. When users specify defects or history, scores adjust more predictably and transparently.
🤖 Model Behavior Improvements
Subtle production flaws now better distinguished from actual damage. Confidence scoring logic has been improved under variable lighting.
